Using drones to scan for possible maintenance issues is known as a drone inspection. The drone serves as the inspector's eyes and flies around the asset so the inspector can carefully examine all necessary maintenance-required areas. Aerial inspections offer a top-down network perspective to spot flaws or possible issues. Drone or UAV inspection is the process of examining an object using an unmanned aircraft.
